Suqqu is one of Japan's greatest exports. The luxury beauty brand is described by BeutyBook as ‘a high quality, sophisticated that epitomises the refined, elegant and radiant brand of beauty that Tokyo women are renowned for.’ They have developed a huge cult following in Japan, and is adored by women who religiously follow the brand’s 3-minute ‘Gankin’ daily facial massage.

But although they have had a presence in the UK since 2006, they were struggling to make a mark on the Western market.

Inspired by a generation of women recognising the importance of inner peace, Suqqu focusses entirely on enhancing our own natural and radiant beauty, whatever our age. We partnered with them to create a series of cross-platform content that would resonate with Sunday Times Style readers and help to put this timeless brand at the forefront of the luxury beauty scene.

Led by BAFTA award-winning make-up artist Morag Ross, we provided readers with an array of beauty secrets: From top tips for the perfect brows to the Japanese approach to wellbeing, must-have barely there foundations that give you a radiant glow to the highly acclaimed ‘Gankin’ facial massage that, so legend has it, is the secret to combating ageing.

Suqqu were so impressed with the results of our first campaign in March 2018 that they re-booked five more times.

Nothing else to see here. Unless you like pictures of polar bears with their eyes shut on a white background.
This is the end, beautiful friend, the end
