It’s going to be eggstremely difficult to write this feature without using any egg or bacon puns, but I’ll give it a crack...

Snapchat’s discover feed has some of the highest engagement in the app, and the tech firm is constantly looking for new ideas to keep its audience sharing with friends. So we were delighted to be invited to develop a new Snapchat Cameo – a story you can send your friends where you've interposed your own face onto some still-frame characters in a scene. They asked us for a creative and engaging story that best uses the Cameos technology. Something around the theme of friendship.

Above all they wanted something quirky. Could we do that? Heck yeah, we could. Quirky is our thing.

So we came up with the 'better together' concept: when two people (or other objects) are great on their own, but somehow make the world a better place when they're paired up. Like Peanut Butter and Jelly, or Morecambe and Wise, or S & M.

We took the perfect pairing – whether you're hungover, happy, or heading for a busy day out, there's no greater pairing than eggs and bacon.

We made a panful of delicious egg and bacon people, – and used androgynous models covered head to toe in leotards to balance skintones and body types for the wide range of audience ethnicities. Then we smeared them in some of the saltiest puns we could come up with.

It meant shelling out on some egg and bacon costumes, and pulling some frankly ridiculous poses, but the end results are – dare we say it? – smashing.

Nothing else to see here. Unless you like pictures of polar bears with their eyes shut on a white background.
This is the end, beautiful friend, the end
